DECEMBER 2021Bang! (Don’t Look) is a modern Korean-American song and video about Adam and Eve that dresses a traditional Western story with the caricature of an Eastern palette.
As the album artist, I address the inherent desires to fall into temptation, confrontAmerican propoganda efforts that strengthened Christianity is post-war Korea, and challenge the patriarchial hierarchy of religion incorporating renaissance iconography, East Asian propoganda colors, and 19th-century orientalist art symbols.
