APRIL 2020

This 2-week personal design challenge attempts to create an online community inspired by Reddit’s user experience and Facebook’s “Subtle Asian Traits” meme page.
 


ISSUE:

There a rise of Sinophobia and fear among most minority communities by the discrimination they face from the Coronavirus.

RESOLUTION:

Create a social networking product to connect and enhance a sense of community for Asians globally and to serve as cultural entertainment and education.

With a primary target ranging from high-school teenagers to young working professionals, this platform had to appeal to a wide range of Gen Z and milennial sub-communities. This means a platform where a niche memes and boba recommendations in Taipei happily coexist within the same product.
